Meet Eden Legaspo, Crew Scheduling Lead at Central Mountain Air
“It can seem like a puzzle when we’re dealing with irregular operations with the resources we have. Watching all the departments working together to keep operations running smoothly gives me such a buzz.”
HOW LONG HAVE YOU WORKED FOR CMA &WHAT DO YOU DO THERE?
I’ve been with Central Mountain Air for almost two and a half years and I am the Crew Scheduling Lead. I work in the Operations department and am responsible for the daily scheduling of flight crews as well as organizing their training, travel and accommodations.
WHAT MAKES YOU MOST PASSIONATE ABOUT YOUR JOB?
I love how dynamic this industry is – no two days are ever the same. I am constantly challenged in my position and it can seem like a puzzle when we’re dealing with irregular operations with the resources we have. Watching all the departments working together to keep operations running smoothly gives me such a buzz. I work with such a great crew as well!
WHERE DO YOU LIVE?
I live in Smithers, B.C.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO WHEN YOU ARE NOT AT WORK?
I am originally from Vancouver; moving to Northwestern BC has given me the chance to explore so many outdoor activities that are otherwise not as accessible in the Lower Mainland. I have developed a love for hiking, skiing and rock climbing. I am hoping to do more camping and paddle boarding this upcoming summer.
WHAT GETS YOU UP IN THE MORNING?
An alarm app that I’ve snoozed at least twice and a bright green smoothie! If I’m not scrambling in the morning, I like to make a daily to-do list of my personal and professional tasks to stay on track.
