Hawkair is pleased to announce that effective January 2016 it is entering into a capacity supply arrangement with Central Mountain Air (CMA) under a capacity purchase agreement (CPA). Hawkair and CMA will be linking their regional networks to help make it easier for guests to connect to more destinations within British Columbia and Alberta.
“We’re in a hyper-competitive airline market that is rapidly changing every year,” said Hawkair President Jay Dilley, “This is part of our continued innovation of Hawkair’s service offering and aligned with our purpose of helping people connect to world around us.”
Under the agreement, Hawkair will operate its existing daily scheduled flights on behalf of CMA utilising its fleet of Dash-8 aircraft. Ticket sales will still be available through the Hawkair branded website but will be linked to the marketing carrier Central Mountain Air’s reservation system. Hawkair will continue with the sales and operations of its charter flights independently.
“Our guests will continue to enjoy the same outstanding experience from Hawkair that they know and love, with the benefit of advanced distribution channels, network depth and strength as one of the largest airlines in BC,” stated Hawkair Director of Corporate Services, Jocelyn Lebell. “We are excited about the opportunities that the agreement will bring for both airlines guests.”
