Book a Flight

We are currently improving our online booking system.

Associated companies, Hawkair Aviation & Central Mountain Air wish to announce they will be combining Passenger Reservations systems effective January 5th, 2016. The new single platform, Central Mountain Air, will combine both travel networks to allow thru passenger and baggage travel, interline connections, and redemption of AirMiles.

While we will try to make this transition as smooth as possible we do expect some issues along the way. If you require assistance, please contact our Reservations Department at 1-888-865-8585. Central Mountain Air and Hawkair appreciate your patience during this transition. Thank you!

MICHAEL PROSSER, Director of Airports, CMA

HOW LONG HAVE YOU WORKED FOR HAWKAIR/CMA?

I was hired by CMA in September, 2014.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT YOUR JOB?

My job provides me an opportunity to work with a wide variety of interesting and creative people from inside and outside of our organization. I am constantly amazed by the talents, experience and dedication of the entire employee group from front line staff to our senior management team.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT HAWKAIR/CMA?

I like the fact each employee can make a profound difference and actively contribute to the overall success of the company. Ideas and suggestions are encouraged, valued and implemented with amazing speed. Ideas or process changes that may take months at a large corporation can be agreed upon and implemented over a 20 minute conference call.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT RICHMOND?

My wife and I live in Steveston, a small fishing village in the southwest corner of Richmond. Steveston is known for its great walking and biking trails, fresh seafood market, local restaurants, coastal wildlife and small town friendliness in the middle of a large urban centre.

GLEN STOTEN, CMA Airport Manager Vancouver

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN THE AIRLINE INDUSTRY?

I started in the Vancouver airport when I was just 18 years old working for a major U.S. Airline. I still remember my fi rst day and having to get my Dad to help me tie my fi rst neck tie for the job! Mike Prosser and I both joined CMA in September of 2014 bringing our collective 70 years of airline experience to the job.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT YOUR JOB?

Both CMA and Hawkair are constantly growing, innovating and improving. Prior to joining the company, the furthest north that I had travelled was Prince George, the smallest aircraft that I had fl own on was a Canadian Regional Jet, and the smallest airport that I had fl own into was probably Palm Springs. It is truly been an amazing opportunity for me to be able to visit some of the amazing northern cities right in my backyard. Flying over B.C. on a beautiful clear day, on a smaller aircraft, is a true privilege.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT CMA?

Prior to starting at CMA / Hawkair the first thing I researched was safety. I was, and continue to be impressed with our pilots, dispatchers, mechanics, ramp and safety management team. It’s a challenge to fly to many of our northern destinations, especially in the winter, yet we do this reliably and safely, day in and day out. The patience and understanding of our customers during some of these diffi cult weather delays has truly amazed me.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT VANCOUVER?

I love living in Vancouver for all of the obvious reasons; the mountains, the ocean, the climate and the “big city” which still is not too big. My favourite thing about living here is the people. We have an amazing multi-cultural society which is refl ected in our employees with our staff originating from China, The Philippines, Africa, Cuba, Colombia, England, Pakistan, India, Iran, the U.S. and of course Canada.
